The Ravens Biggest Needs Heading Into Free Agency

Every year before free agency starts we sit here and think of hypothetical scenarios with trades and signings for needs that we have or know that we’ll have with potential cuts and knowing who’ll most likely end up getting money on the market that’ll be too much for the Ravens to match. With that being said our biggest needs heading into free agency are wide receiver and tight end. Ozzie Newsome is pushing the reset button on the wide receiver position and tight end is pretty thin with Crocket Gilmore moving to the line, Maxx Williams not being what we expected so far, Benjamin Watson is only getting older after almost considering retirement heading into free agency, leaving only Nick Boyle the only one without a question mark. Here we’ll be looking at a list of the top 5 at each position of need that are on the market as of right now.

Wide receiver

1. Allen Robinson

2. Sammy Watkins

3. Paul Richardson

4. Marquise Lee

5. Donte Moncrief

Tight end

1. Jimmy Graham

2. Tyler Eifert

3. Trey Burton

4. Austin Seferian-Jenkins

5. Martellus Bennett

Realistically I feel at this point we’ll end up with either Allen Robinson or Jimmy Graham. This is Ozzie Newsome’s last year and I expect him to try and go out with a bang before he steps down and Steve Biscotti hinting at the Ravens wanting to make some splash signings in free agency. The Ravens tend to wait until after the first wave of free agency but this will be the year where they try and get aggressive even with limited cap space.
