2018 NFL 1st Round Mock Draft 2.0

Barkley

The NFL Combine has come and gone, pro days start this week and draft grades on players will soon be locked in.  Remember:  This mock draft is about predicting what I think will happen.  It is not, in any way, about what I would do or what I want to happen.

Here goes nothing.  My Post Combine, Pre Free Agency 2018 NFL 1st round mock draft:

1) Browns – Saquon Barkley, RB//PSU

2) Giants – Quenton Nelson, G//ND

3) Colts – Bradley Chubb, EDGE//NCSt.

14) Packers – Marcus Davenport, EDGE//UTSA

15) Cardinals – Lamar Jackson, QB//Louisville

16) Ravens – Calvin Ridley, WR//Alabama

Ridley

After a historic early run on QBs, the number one WR in the 2018 class falls right into the Ravens lap. Ridley may not have the highest ceiling of any WR in the draft, but he is the most NFL ready.  This selection would represent one piece of what I expect to be a complete rebuild of the Baltimore receiving corps.

Regardless of Ridley’s availability at 16, I expect the Ravens to be very involved in trade discussions leading up to the draft.  The strength of this draft is on Day 2 and I am sure, given their history, that they would love to accumulate picks.

17) Chargers – Jaire Alexander, CB//Louisville

18) Seahawks – Vita Vea, DL//Washington

19) Cowboys – Courtland Sutton, WR//SMU

20) Lions – Da’Ron Payne, DL//Alabama
